Lobster Tails and Garlic Green Beans

ImageJust look at that.  Isn’t it beautiful?  Now THIS is good eating.

Jerad and I took our first trip to Whole Foods today and spent…too much.  Whoops. There was a deal going on in the seafood department, two lobster tails for ten bucks, so we went for it!  Boy, were they tasty.

ImageBring some salted water to a boil and toss them in there.  If you don’t want your tails to curl, stick a skewer through them before throwing them in the pot.  We cooked ours for eight minutes.  Then, put them on a plate with a paper towel to drain and cool.

ImageI tried to take pictures of the process of Jerad snipping the delicious meat out of the tails, but somehow all of my photos were blurry!  Snip along the top (carefully!) to release the goodness.

ImageNow, you can eat this with whatever side you like, but WF had some nice looking green beans.  I just minced some garlic, threw it into a pan with a little olive oil for a minute on medium-ish heat, and cooked the green beans until they were warm and yummy but still had a little bit of a crunch to them.

Exciting news, my sister is coming to visit!  She’ll get here Tuesday night.  You know what this means?  I’ll be cooking magical things for her for a week, and then telling all of you about it!

You can look forward to boozy french toast, corn pancakes, cabbage rolls with tomato cream sauce, walnut chicken, and brownies with salted caramel frosting.

Hungry yet?
